UN General Assembly First Committee on Disarmament and International Security
The United Nations First Committee, one of the 6 committees of the UN General Assembly, deals with disarmament and international security issues. The First Committee is comprised of all 193 members of the UN and usually meets for 4-5 weeks during October-November in New York, to discuss a range of issues from nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction to conventional arms and cyber security, regional measures and disarmament machinery.
