From 13-17 February, States will gather in New York for the last Preparatory Committee meeting (PrepCom) before the 2-27 July Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT). While primarily focused on procedural matters, the gathering offers an important opportunity for States and broader civil society to re-affirm and take additional steps toward achieving an ATT that brings real humanitarian benefits and protects lives and livelihoods around the globe.

Our new brief highlights key goals for the meeting and we encourage our members and civil society allies to make sure that their governments hear the message, through direct lobbying and through Speaking Out to Control Arms now.

The brief is available in English, French, Arabic and Spanish. To read more about the ongoing negotiations at the United Nations, please refer to our negotiations page.
