As part of the “100 Days of Speaking Out!”, a countdown to the treaty negotiations, Control Arms will regularly feature stories and profiles of different people who support a bulletproof ATT.

In the beginning of June, The Norwegian Peace Association, in collaboration with ICAP, hosted the international exhibition “Building a Culture of Peace for the Children of The World” at the Peace house in Oslo. The Nobel Peace Prize Laureates Dr. Shirin Ebadi and Betty Williams spoke about the crucial role of children in peace building, and the situation in Iran at the opening night.

Later the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates spoke out for a strong Arms Trade Treaty that makes irresponsible arms trade illegal. They signed to the Speak Out campaign and stated on video why it is important that the UN member states agree on a strong Arms Trade Treaty in July.
