Last Wednesday, the Exeter University Oxfam group partnered up with the Exeter University Amnesty International group to deliver an awareness raising “Die In” in the middle of campus to raise awareness about the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) campaign. The groups were both calling for Bullet Proof Arms Trade Treaty, which is at the centre of Oxfam’s ATT campaign. Over 30 people participated in the event by staging a dramatic collective death. Together activists communicated the shocking number of innocent people who are needlessly killed by the global arms trade and encouraging onlookers to sign a petition calling for an effective Arms Trade Treaty.
