The ATT Monitor Arms Transfers Dashboard, is a civil society-based global resource that provides information on arms transfers reported by States Parties to the Arms Trade Treaty. As a comprehensive and openly accessible dataset on international arms trade, the Dashboard continuously builds on the findings from annual reports submitted to the ATT Secretariat. What are the sources of information for the Arms Transfers Dashboard?
The Dashboard draws its data solely from annual reports submitted by ATT States Parties. Information from Signatories and non-member States is not included nor analyzed. It continuously builds on the findings of assessments from each round of annual reporting.
The dataset covers arms transfer information for all States Parties that submitted a publicly available report up to the latest available year (currently 2022), ensuring that the ATT Monitor Dashboard remains up-to-date and relevant. The platform is committed to regularly updating its datasets to maintain accuracy and reliability.
What kinds of limitations are there in the data?
While the ATT Monitor Dashboard relies on the annual reports submitted to the ATT for its dataset, there are inherent challenges in developing an international dataset on arms transfers. Access to ATT Monitor Arms Transfers Data
